Not long ago, someone called @YayPlanes started following me on Twitter. The name made me laugh, so I followed them back. Badda bing, badda boom, shortly thereafter @YayPlanes direct messaged me with an offer to review Yay! Planes, the DVD. Yay! Planes is hosted by two sock puppets who live in a lost suitcase. Kicking off with an easy-to-learn theme song consisting of the words "yay, planes!", we then hear from "Argyle" and "Jim" (the socks) about parts of an airplane, the shapes that airplanes are made from, and even how planes fly! At some points, Argyle and Jim have witty banter that was not engaging to my children. The LETTERS ON AN AIRPLANE song is lots of fun, teaching the ABCs NATO-style: A - ALFA; B - BRAVO; C - CHARLIE; D - DELTA; E - ECHO...this is valuable information for when Jojo and I want to play spy games. Airplane fans can also watch takeoffs and landings on Yay! Planes, and get a first-person perspective of what it looks like being high in a plane. Young plane aficionados will find lots to like about Yay! Planes. There is a Yay! Planes Facebook page and a Yay! Planes blog. I was provided a copy of Yay! Planes for review.

In 1989, Jim Henson celebrated the 20th anniversary of Sesame Street with a 48 minute TV special called Sesame Street: 20 Years...and Still Counting!. In early July, Lionsgate Home Entertainment made Sesame Street: 20 Years...and Still Counting! available on DVD and digital download for the first time. A nostalgic viewing experience for parents and caregivers, and good, fun educational programming for little ones, Sesame Street: 20 Years...and Still Counting! is rife with special guests like host Bill Cosby, Jim Henson, Kermit the Frog, Ray Charles and famed tenor Placido Domingo. Sesame Street: 20 Years...and Still Counting! has classic Sesame Street scenes that you will remember from days of yore, as well as interviews with key players of the early days of Sesame Street. I love sharing DVD's like this with my kids, and remembering forgotten Sesame Street moments from my childhood. Sesame Street is produced by the non profit educational organization Sesame Workshop. I was provided a copy of this DVD for the purposes of review.

The Wild Soccer Bunch, Book 1, Kevin the Star Striker is the first book in The Wild Soccer Bunch series. The series became popular in International markets before making its way to the US in late May. The Wild Bunch is a soccer team in Chicago. In The Wild Soccer Bunch, Book 1, Kevin the Star Striker, the team looks forward to a new season of practices, only to find that a rival team has taken over their practice field. The Wild Soccer Bunch, Book 1, Kevin the Star Striker is a fun read for ages 8-14. Illustrations are sprinkled throughout the book. The Wild Soccer Bunch was created in 2002 in Germany by author/screenwriter/director Joachim Masannek. The first book, followed by a German language feature film, became an overnight sensation. To date, the brand has evolved into a strong worldwide franchise, with the 14-book series translated into 28 languages and five international theatrical films.
At www.wildsoccer.com, young soccer fans can play interactive soccer games, join in chat forums, and other fun stuff. The Wild Soccer Bunch, Book 1: Kevin the Star Striker is available through wildsoccerbunch.com, Amazon.com, and other online retailers.
Fan the Wild Soccer Bunch on Facebook to be in the loop for when the next books in the series are released! I was provided with a copy of this book for review purposes.

I went shopping today. I always have doubts in the changing room so I want some opinions here. Be frank! Items 1 and 2: pink "boyfriend chinos" from the clearance rack and steel blue knit top with satin piping around the neck. Excuse the dour expression. I mean I was taking a picture of myself alone in a changing room. item 3: bronze skinny belt. I have a hard time committing to belts. item 4: a top I call "the librarian shirt". The arms fit well but my bewbs didn't line up with the darts, so maybe the incorrect size? (either I am the incorrect size or the shirt is). Item 5, 6: skinny cropped trousers and pink tank in the same family as the steel blue knit top. Keep your eyes off of my YakPak purse. Item 7: summer weight blazer. That I wouldn't normally wear with a t-shirt. I really like the idea and the look of this on the rack, but I feel like I look manish. So what should be "pass" and what should be "keep"? Share your own pictures this week at Wordless Wednesday HQ, 5 Minutes for Mom, Live and Love...Out Loud, and J. Leigh Designz. Wordful Wednesday is at Seven Clown Circus.

Deeds loves "meow meows", so even he was excited about Milly™ The Pinkest Kitten from the Aurora World Inc. YooHoo & Friends™ line. We got a Milly dressed as a fairy, complete with wings, from the Milly WannaBes (8", MSRP: $10.99) series. The WannaBes are dressed as a princess, ballerina or fairy. Our Milly Fairy is super cute and has little pink wings on her back. We also got a sweet Milly Cupcake Carrier (MSRP: $13.99), which includes a removable Milly plush animal (Mini-Flopsie™) and is scented. I think ours has some kind of berry smell. The Edge of the Divine: Where Possibility Meets God’s Faithfulness is a new book authored by Christian vocalist Sandi Patty. I picked it up not knowing what it was about, but intrigued by the title. The theme throughout The Edge of the Divine: Where Possibility Meets God’s Faithfulness is about breaking free of regret and finding a life of freedom and joy. Sandi Patty experienced this journey through losing 80 pounds by making the choice to have bariatric surgery (lap band) and leaving her old lifestyle habits behind. The parts of the book centered around her choice to have bariatric surgery were not extremely interesting to me, but I do identify with the message that it takes courage to make a big change of any kind in your life. She also touches on other journeys in her life, including her divorce and remarriage that made her fall from grace in the Christian scene several years ago. I never really knew the details because I was just a child when it happened, and not necessarily a hard core Sandi Patty fan at any point in my life. But I appreciate her honesty in addressing the elephant in the room and sharing the ways that it grew her in her walk with God. The Edge of the Divine: Where Possibility Meets God’s Faithfulness also has other's stories of stepping out in faith and reaping the rewards of God's blessing. The pages at the back of the book contain "questions for discussion and individual reflection" to massage your mind. In The Edge of the Divine, Sandi Patty takes readers to the heart of the crucial choice to cling to the hope God gives. Women discover that they can leave a life of wondering for a life of wonder. Wonder at the infinite love of God, at His inexhaustible mercy, and His refusal to let us wallow far from His blessings, hope, and grace. But first, as Sandi shows, women must walk to the edge of the divine and decide to jump.

Clementine Art has created a line of simple, wholesome, and Earth-friendly art supplies for children. Clementine Art products safe and non-toxic. I love the simplistic look of the packaging, a blank canvas to encourage creativity. We got a set of Natural Paint, and Jojo busied himself experimenting with what combining colors might create. "What will happen if I mix blue and orange?" "I don't know, lets try it! What do you think it will look like?" The pigments in the paint were much more vibrant than I expected from a "natural" coloring. We had a fun afternoon creating with these! For a fun project, try Clementine Art's Summer Paintsicles art project from the Clementine Art blog, written the company founder, Diana Mercer. Also don't miss this article about instilling creativity in your child (for the planet's sake). Stay in the loop, fan Clementine Art on Facebook. Spin Master has a new line of toys for preschoolers called Pop On Pals. Pop on Pals characters feature removable, mix n' matchable plastic molded clothing and arms, allowing them to assume different identities or get new accessories. We were sent the Pop On Pals Amusement Park Play set for review, which includes 1 pal, 3 pop on rings for said pal, and an amusement park with Ferris wheel, roller coaster, swinging dragon ship thingy, replete with sound effects. Pop On Pals are designed for ages 2 to 4 years. My 2-year-old niece and 2-year-old son didn't sustain interest in the Pop On Pals Amusement Park Play set, but my 5-year-old enjoyed it and took the time to figure out how to work the different levers and flair. The pop on rings are easy to put on the pop on pal; they just slide on and off from the figure's feet. For my two-year-old, Deeds, I think he would have enjoyed the play set more if it involved super cool vehicles.
These samples were provided for review by Pop on Pals through Team Mom.

We were sent a fun new game from Goliath Games called Panic Tower. The game board consists of a 3×3 grid of colored squares. Players draw a card and place either a small, medium, or large wooden block on the square indicated on the card. If the tower falls, the offending player takes a penalty card. Three penalty cards, and yer out! The last player standing is the winner.
Panic Tower is designed for ages 6 and older, and my almost-six-year-old Jojo really got into it! After a while he was kind of playing Panic Tower solitaire because he got tired of waiting on me to do my turns. This is a great, no-tech game for kids that need to be unplugged and use their minds! Look for more great games for kids and grown-ups at http://www.goliathgames.us I received a sample of Panic Tower to facilitate this review. Woohoo!

Kymaro Health & Beauty wants to conduct the mother of all giveaways. This exclusive giveaway contains over $180 worth of Kymaro products! The prize package will include Fix My Roots, Sunless Tanning, Curve Control Jeans, Body Shapers, Bust Up Cups, discount cards and so much more! Kymaro Health & Beauty has many unique and innovative beauty products, and I was sent a few to try out for myself. I got the Bella Form jeans, a solution for flat butts (tee-hee!), the Kymaro New Bottom Shaper (this company is really concerned about my bum), and the Kymaro New Body Shaper (for the torso). Finally a solution for flat butts !!! Jeans Bella Form. Bella Form with its special design allows you to naturally sport a rounder and lifted butt. Its exclusive material, unique design and modern cut will lift and emphasis your figure, making you look even more attractive. Accept the challenge Bella Form!!! Jeans made of Stretch Denim, cotton and elastic. Modern cut, special and unique design that highlights and makes your butt stand out at the same time defining your figure. Ideal for flat butts
So here is the MMT butt comparison. Leggings Butt vs. Butt Jeans Butt The Bella Form jeans add badonk without the use of padding or anything crazy like that. They are designed with creative use of gathering and wide set pockets to create the illusion of badonk. I think my bum does look more full. I don't really love the wash on these jeans though. Next I tried the New Body Shaper in conjunction with the New Bottom Shaper. The Kymaro® New Body Shaper is the fastest and safest way to take off inches in all the important places where we can't seem to lose the weight. Plus, these amazing undergarments smooth out the rolls and bulges, giving the simple look of a sleek and slender body. Everyone will be asking you how you lost the weight! No other shaper out there compares to this! Kymaro’s New Bottom Shaper is the fastest way to get your figure back. This seamless shaper hugs everything in place, leaving you with smooth lines and sexy curves.
These products are girdle-type clothing items worn under your clothes. The box says "Look 10 to 20 lbs thinner instantly." In these "before" and "after" photos, I had on both products. And I still had on the butt jeans, as I like to call them. Photo one (left) is without the body and bottom shapers. Photo two (right) is with the body and bottom shapers.
Photo one (left) is without the body/bottom shapers, photo two (right) is with.
I can definitely tell a difference in the side view picture. And I like the way the Bottom Shaper made my bottom look smoother and covered up panty lines. I actually have on the Bottom Shaper in the leggings picture at the top of this post. The Body Shaper and Bottom Shaper are definitely useful for making different clothes hang correctly on your body. I don’t think I look 20 pounds lighter (haha), but the before/after pictures on the website show some pretty impressive results for ladies larger than myself. Enter to win a prize pack of Kymaro products worth $180. 1.) To enter, visit the Kymaro website and leave a comment with another Kymaro product that interests you and why. One winner will be chosen at random. 2.) Email subscribers get an extra entry for as long as their subscription is active. Already a subscriber?
